Welcome to Celestial Rust
Hello everyone, welcome to Celestial Rust. Our servers are part of a broader network under our parent company Celestial Networks. Although the parent company is a registered business, our Rust servers are purely an extension. Celestial Rust was born from the take over of GameKeeper, a community within both the PvE and PvP modded side of Rust. We’re excited to announce that we’ve collaborated closely with PPlank to ensure Celestial Rust does not change the core aspect of GameKeeper.
PPlank will not be fully leaving (yet), instead he will be supporting us with the development, retention and promotion of the servers for the time being. We will be looking to make some small changes to the servers to try and restore them to their former glory. We’ll also be keeping our eyes open for player suggestions on what can be added, improved or possibly rebuilt. We’re all about the community and strive to keep you all involved throughout this journey.
Everyone that has previously purchased a membership on GameKeeper will still retain their current rank and benefits once the rebranding has been completed. Until then, you will still notice GameKeeper branding across the servers as the rebranding may take some time. In the future, we will transition from the GameKeeper Discord server to our own. So, if you want to stay ahead of the game, click the “Discord” link either in the header or footer.
For anyone interested, here’s a little personal introduction to the Owners of Celestial Rust:
Xyte: I’m no stranger to GameKeeper and server management. Originally, I joined GameKeeper in January 2017 but had been playing Rust prior to this (during the Alpha phase of the game) – immediately I took a liking to the GameKeeper servers, and PPlank. Around August 2017 I was approached by PPlank who proposed I became an Admin, which of course I accepted. Outside of Rust, I’m the main technician responsible for keep the infrastructure operating, updated and secure. I enjoy playing a multitude of games such as but not limited to; Overwatch 2, Call of Duty, Rocket League, Bloons TD 6 and Arena Breakout: Infinite. I’m a fully qualified network and infrastructure technician and currently work in the Mobile Communications industry.
Whitey: I’ve been gaming for most of my life, I’ve been around moderation teams in different games for a good few years the most popular one was Gmod. I’ve always wanted to be involved in owning my own servers at some point as I found the back end interesting and I like a new challenge in life. I used to play Rust quite a lot in the past however I’ve been playing other games recently with the most common being: CS2, Rocket League, Pokémon, Single player games and all the friend games you can name.
