Upcoming Server Changes (PVP) and New Server

Since running the GameKeepr servers for a while, we've made some changes across our PvP servers and have come to the conclusion it's time for another change on the next force wipe (6th, November 2025).

A few months ago, we made changes to the Clans and Duo servers to reduce their gather rate, mainly to determine if a lower gather rate would be more beneficial for both players and ourselves. After a few months of monitoring the PvP servers, we've decided to make some necessary adjustments.

Starting from force wipe, the two servers will have their gather rate increased to 5x. Previously, the servers were reduced from 10x to 3x, but we've seen a significant decline of interest in the PvP servers. Although they were never extremely popular, we feel increasing the gather rate to 5x will potentially allow us to justify keeping PvP running.

Another change we had made, which was received both positively and negatively, was the removal of Offline Raid Protection. Offline Raid Protection had always been a hot topic across the servers; some people loved it, some people hated it, and a lot of players abused its flaws.

We will be launching a new server when the new Rust update hits on 6th, November. The server will have no team limit, include Offline Raid Protection (which will be updated to patch all known exploits), and will keep the 3x gather rate. One of the most common things we received about Offline Raid Protection was "How did I get raided when I was offline?!" - keeping 3x should somewhat eliminate this. We are aware that this will still be a question asked, but it does mean it should be a less frequent problem.

You will be able to find the new server by typing Celestial Rust into the Rust server browser under Modded. Alternatively, you can check our Servers page to find the IP address.

Remember, if you have previously purchased any lifetime perks or VIP subscriptions on the GameKeeper servers, your perks and VIP will be usable on the new Celestial Rust server(s).
